Driving Directions

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Take  Highway 101 North towards San Francisco.  Merge onto I-80 East, following signs to the Bay Bridge/Oakland.   Take I-80 to Sacramento, continue on I-80 Business Route/US-50E (you will follow signs in Sacramento for  I-80 Business Route/Capital City Freeway/South Lake Tahoe)  Continue on 50E to South Lake Tahoe. 

Distance: 200 miles. 

Estimated travel time: 4 hours

Reno Airport

Take US-395 South towards Carson City.  In Carson City turn Right onto Fairview Dr, left onto S Carson St.  Turn Right onto US-50 West.  Follow 50 to South Lake Tahoe.

Distance: 60 miles

Estimated travel time:  1 hour, 20 minutes.

There is also a shuttle from the Reno airport to the casinos in Stateline/South Lake Tahoe.  This is a good option if you with to avoid driving in the snow. 

Ripon, CA

Take 99 North to Sacramento.  Take exit 298A towards South Lake Tahoe/US50E.  Merge onto 50 East.  Follow 50 to South Lake Tahoe
